Does any one know what the white material is on the butt?

John,

Thank God you build better cues than the photos you take!
I can't tell if it has a swirled design to it like a Bakelite or Marblette?
Is it a uniform dark yellow on the outside, but white if you face it off? If so, I have an old plastic material I got from Abe Rich that was white originally but turns a shade of yellow over time similar to how phenolic darkens over time.
Shoot me an email or give me a call if I can help.

Those were phone pics. The android was crotchety.....

I have not done anything yet. I am doing some homework to 1 see what the cue is worth and also to see if I can find the material on the cue to correctly restore it.

Was that maybe a Brunswick cue to accompany the Gold Crown table?
Just a really long shot cause I don't know as much as I wish I did about old cues and tables.
For some reason the Gold Crown looks familiar and it isn't from Imperial Margarine
