I plan on buying one the first of the year 4 boys + x-mas = extra funds GONE I cannot convince them that the shaft cutter is more fun than a PS3 and a WII

I have one of these exact machines from Greg, picked it up personally from his shop. It will do exactly as said and has LOTS of room for your own personal mods. However, it works perfect as is. I just like to tinker & personalize every machine I get, pushing them to their limits. So far, I have found no limitations with this machine that cannot be overcome with simple minded mods.
