The layout below only shows the balls involved. I had 6 left on the table but the other 3 made no difference. We were hill/hill and my opponent was running balls like mad, however I noticed he would miss a key shot and blow the game. In this instance he broke and ran to the 8 and left the 8 in no mans land as pictured. I could have made the balls but I was really uncomfortable with the entire run so I remembers what Larry Schwartz said about having lots of balls left on the table. Play safe. This worked out better than I imagined because the 13 ball came off the rail and sat on the cue ball. The next shot he took (out of frustration) caused him to scratch. One of the best safties I ever played.
