Funny thing is that the few episodes of shows that had pool in it that did not just have a day or random hustling where the character was a pro player for one day and never played pool again were all pretty good. The Twilight Zone, this one, Seinfeld where they stuck a table in a room too small all were good. Some others where a kid or some naive person was beat then grownup A came in to beat the hustlers to get the money back were not nearly as good, in any of the shows they put that in.

Brilliant, what a talent Gleason was without a doubt the funniest comedy ever to come on a television screen. Gleason was a natural choice for his role as fats in the Hustler.
