This is the Biagio By Joss cue I just aquired....

Per Joss this cue was NEVER offered like this one sits now. Very few had the Aces of Hearts and Diamonds with the MOP Diamonds. Also they only offered it in that model with 4 Ebony Points, no veneers.

This one has Plenty of Veneers and acording to Kerry@joss cue is a Custom built special order cue.

It will be going back to them to have a new butt cap installed, refinished and rewraped with a Black Irish linen wrap with Red speckles and an extra shaft to perfectly match this OE shaft I have for this one.

Butt and shaft and dead straight and roll perfect.....

Awaiting to hear more info about it from Joss or anyone else who is familiar with it...

joss biagio cue

congrats on your find. butt looks like it has been in a bit of a tough spot(now's that for politically correct?!). looking forward to seeing it after rework. never did see many biagio by joss cues. biagio(crystal leisure) cues were later made by others. i figure the ones made by joss are more valuable than the others(unless someone manages to concoct a story plausible enough to fool most of us!)

Finally got a reply from Dan@Joss about this cue....

Gary,
The original cue like what you have was made as one of a line of cues for Earl Strickland BEFORE your cue was made. I made a line of cues for Earl (six models) that never got off the ground. Earl had a friend and backer at that time that passed away and the project had to be abandoned. Your cue was one of that line. The only difference was that they may have had points. Some were made with a pair of aces and some were a jack and an ace (black jack). The design was a look that I liked so when it didn't work for E.S. and I was asked to make a line of cues for Biaggio I used the same design for one of their cues.
How long ago was this? I cant remember that far back. How many were made? Maybe 20 to 30 total. There were a couple made with ivory for the card body. I think yours was / is maple. If I can come up with a year that it was made I'll let you know when I send it back to you.

Well, they only made 20 or 30 in my combination of cards and even
less with the Mother Of Pearl.

I'm thinking that's a pretty rare cue.

Now, what do I do with it?

Dan will refinish it with a brand new butt cap, wrap and clean shaft for under $200.00...........

Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Send the cue and 200 and be happy

You have a good deal there my friend.

For my money, old Joss are the tops for production cues.

Congradulations on your Joss Cue

Ken
