Old Mali Lovers - Lets See Them

I remember back in the mid 80's Mali cues were a great choice for a first cue. Adam, Mali, Meucci, etc. They are highly under rated and play great. Most are very plain and to find the more detailed inlay ones are a tough find. You have a nice one. Enjoy it!

My favorite cue before I built cues was an old Mali. I loved that cue. When I began building my own cues, I used the stiff Mali shaft taper as a starting point for mine. Great cues. I'd love to buy another just like it if anybody has one. It was a birdseye forearm with 4 ebony points, no veneers, ebony butt with white/black dash ring above the buttcap, 3/8-10 joint with black collar & single thin white ring. I'd give a few hundred. Or i'll just build myself one LOL

Mali

This model Mali was my very first cue. My dad bought it for me from cuemaker and former PA State Straight Pool Champion Leo Galli. Leo offered to play a game to 125 to see if I liked the cue. He let me get ahead about a rack then ran 115 and out. That really opened my 16 year old eyes. Good cue. Still wish I had it or could find another for sale. Thanks for the memories.
