Old Monte Carlo & Lord Brunswick

I picked these two cue up from a kid that works in a Billiard supply store.
I sold the Palmer to TATE and it will be on his web page when refinished.
The Monte Carlo Adams I have kept for sentimental reasons. The last one I saw was buried with my old 1 pocket playing friend who happened to be related. His nephew married my sister. We called him "Studini" cause he would make 4 and 5 rail banks into his hole left and right. I refinished the cue and left a little of the old yellow finish on the butt. I like it the way it is and it is not for sale.
Tahnks for looking!

I hope you enjoy.

Thanks for thinking of me, Don. I am very pleased to have the cue and will be displaying it in due course.

The Brunswick/Palmer connection was interesting enough. Brunswick wanted an unscale line of cues to sell through their dealer network in the early 1970's. The cues were unique to Brunswick. On this particular example, the rings, inlays, etc. were not like the work Palmer was doing on their line cues

There were 6 models of cues, and the "Lord Brunswick" was the premier cue. Palmer made one run at the line, but by the time Brunswick put their mark-up on the cues, they were not competitive in the market so they didn't sell very well. The project was scrapped. The cues didn't go into production beside the initial cues that were shipped.

This is the kind of win, win I like to be involved in. Everybody was delighted and I got a free lunch. I got the cue I have been looking for, that looks and plays better than it ever did, it is straight, still has origional leather wrap. I put an Ivorine ferrule and a Moori Med. tip which is too hard for me and I am going to try my box of Snipers.
Thank you Chris, I will continue to search.
