Old Palmer Cue

Any idea what size joint protector I would need for a Palmer made in the 80's?
If you had to guess I would be willing to spend some money on two choices but I don't want to buy one of every size available.

There is. It's a 3/8x8 and it looks like the radial screw. I believe Schmelke mfg Sells the screws and the tap. There is also 2 other versions of the 3/8x8.
The first looked like a standard Vee grooved thread, used by Mr. Harvey Martin before he switched to 3/8x10. The other version used today, I believe is used by Mr. Wes Hunter. I think it's an acme screw.
