No prizes, just the satisfaction of being the first one to correctly identify the player in this photo. Hint: the photo was taken 22 years ago. Who is it?

If it was 22 years ago, this young lady was a late teen named Loree Jon Ogonowski.

Wow!

Ogonowski is her name. Wondering whether I had it wrong, I chekced the program from the 1978 World Open Straight Pool event in front of me as I post, and it confirms that spelling.

This link will offer additional corroboration of that spelling.

I believe the "Ogonowski" part is correct. I think that "Loree-Jon" is the first part of her name. Note the hyphen in the first name. Hey, I know that's picky, but I'm an old, retired college professor. Here is the source I was using, it's from the New York Times:

Published: August 23, 1982
Steve Mizerak of Fords, N.J., captured the 1982 World Championship of Pocket Billiards at New York's Roosevelt Hotel by defeating Danny DiLiberto of Buffalo, 150-80, on Saturday night.

Mizerak announced his retirement from active competition after his victory. Jean Balukas of New York closed with a strong 55 against the defending world champion, Loree-Jon Ogonowski of Garwood, N.J., to win her sixth world title, 75-20. Christer Lofstrand of Frolund, Sweden, repeated as junior world champion.

That's the best I can offer.
