I am looking for some information on some pool halls around the Omaha area. Palace billiards is what I think it was called? Or possibly Rocket billiards. If someone can remember the names of the pool halls around this area during the 50s-60s.
Long story short...I was discussing pool with my father in-law and he starts telling me these stories about how he used to shine shoes in the pool halls around the Omaha area. He had some amazing stories to tell. Was telling stories about the Chicago gangsters that used to come down and play and how he would shine up thier shoes and they would pay very well. He was talking about a couple of different pool halls that he would frequent as a boy shining shoes.
If someone out the there has some info, stories, or even pictures, it would be greatly appreciated.
