I have a customer which plays with one of the really old Meucci cues with the
stock shaft. The shaft has been worn to the unrecognizable where it has a distinct
"bump" where the bridge hand is. In other words - much smaller than the tip in the bridge area.
He has tried modern shafts - but has the "aim - with a ball off" correction/deflection so deep in his brain,
that he find it hard to migrate to a OB1 or a OB2.
Personally, I have never liked the "Mukkis" - never understood putting finnish over
the grip and I was a die hard McDermott user in the old days.
Over in my end I have some problems getting hold of good maple to tapper my
own shafts so I was wondering is there any of you fellas which could help me
out with a "old school Meucci" blank shaft with the original tapper intact ?
A little oversized in the joint section would be preferred so I can adapt it to this old cue.
Since the shaft is so worn out - I can't measure the tapper either and I'm not
sure if I forward the customer to a "new" shaft bought online some where, that
the owner would be happy.
The customer is a top ranked player which has started playing again and is for sure enjoying the return in the game.
I would pay through paypal and I would of course order more than one shaft
Email me, PM me or just reply.
