Based on the thread title, I was hoping to see a 1/2 stainless steel joint, similar to the types you see today, but that just looks like a wood to wood joint similar to a southwest. Maybe I'm missing something, but what makes this Scruggs joint any different from any other wood to wood or phenolic joint?
 
Absolutely nothing

Excepting for the fact it is a Scruggs. Didn't happen alot. And they have done it for decades.

I like this particular cue due to the non Stainless Steel joint. I am now only getting cues made without the SS joint.

Is this the Frey cue that you like? I have yet to see one nicer than this one.

Not sure I will ever part with this cue.

Yeah. I'm confused. What makes this different from older DPK joints? Or even old Harvey Martin cues with similar joints?

Is yet another thing that Timi invented?

I love that thing. You should set it down next to that Scruggs I put on you and snap away. They compliment each other. Definate continuitey.
