Old Steve Mizerak Cue Help (cue experts needed)

I believe these were manufactured by ADAMS....around the same time they made Rempe and Hopkins cues (early 80s). Note the "dove" in the butt (Steve's trademark). You will need to have a new shaft made which any cuemaker should be able to do for you. Good luck.

Not the Adam. I have one, complete with the lion on the butt cap.

I remember those Miz cues, seems they were like some of the other branded cues by people like Fats that sold their name to products that they would not actually ever use. Bought one at a PX during basic training in the early 90s, not this model, I think the one I got was maybe $30 or 40. It broke in 3 pieces when I hit it against the side of a pole one time. Still remember playing in one of the barracks, don't think I lost a game, I was told that of course I was winning, I had easy shots. Seems like the idea you can actually control the cueball was unknown to them.

A guy I knew let me play with his back in the late 80's and I was surprised at how well it played. I had a Meucci at that time and it played better than it.

Don't stop me if you've heard this one before....

most of the same pin sized shafts will fit it. may not match the rings right but will work.

remember back in the 1970's a good custom palmer cue was 30 bucks. and a steak dinner was 5 bucks. a brand new convertible was 3,000

although that cue was much more recent.
