If it was a snake it would have bitten you. I love the Fellini cases pictured with some of the cues, but these Viking cases are sure a great place to house the old cues.

I like the dash ring joint. The points look like they may be Koa wood?? I know they used some back then. It sure is a pretty one. Thank you

My first cue was a Viking I got for my 14th birthday. I foolishly sold it when I got into custom cues around 17 years ago. BEM PJ with a big pin.

This is my only Viking at the moment. A-450 from the 80’s if I recall.

Very true, and I’d buy all of them, but I can’t buy them and sell them at the same time, so I’d love to know asking prices. Here’s my collection, and the same goes, it’s all for sale, for the right price.

Thanks for the info. I still do not have any idea what model it is. I hope someone might be able to help me with that.

Cheers
I think It’s a 1974 x-175. 1978 and later used the round bumper. You can tell by the black ring around the spots in the points that it’s either an x-175, or a Z-170. Later models don’t have the ring around the dot (to the best of my knowledge), the flat bumper suggests it’s the 1974.

When I acquired the pool cue, it did not have a bumper. The bumper was modified and added.

So it possibly could be the 1978 then, either way, I’m pretty certain it’s one of those 2. If your friend got it in early 70’s it’s probably the 1974.

Here’s my 1978.
I have a vintage Viking in that age range. Still love it. Is that a super joint I see on the shaft? Mine has one too. It's an interesting concept... threaded inside and out. Makes it a bit difficult to get new shafts though.

I like your cue, I had a green one quite a while ago. I like light cues and that one was a 16 oz. That's hard to find. I wish I had hung on to it and a thousand others I can think of, Lol.I like your cue, I had a green one quite a while ago. I wish I had hung on to it and a thousand others I can think of, Lol. I really enjoy my Viking cues, and they are American made for the patriot in all of us. You can take the eighties, I call dibs on the 60's and 70's.

Viking made quite a few cues, But not a lot of the deluxe champions or RDC cues. I am I'm interested in those if anyone has one to sell, Lets talk.
