I have several blocks of the old yellow micarta. I had bought 2 sheets in 1975 that was 18" X 36" I noticed on the forum several people were looking for some of this material. I have several differtent sizes that will make 10 ferrules for one size and 20 for 2 pieces and one that will make about 30 ferrules I will take 25.00 for each ferrule it will make or I will trade for cues, guns, and or knives.
Let me know by pm I am easy to deal with.

Please show some pictures
There are too many conterfeits out there. If you post a picture Dale Pierce will chime in and tell us why it is or isn't real. He also has the real mccoy

Your price sounds too good to be true, however , if it's real, i'll want some of it

I will take a picture and post it tomorrow. I don't need anyone to verify it to be what I said. I have probably used more than most of the cue makers put together in the last 30 years. It is what I said or I would not say it.
In 1975 this was the only yellow shade of micarta out there and it has to age to get real yellow. There have been a lot of stuff made called micarta but it wasn't, micarta is just a trade name. There is a new micarta (yellow)
on the market but it is a fabric or linen base not a paper based and it looks good also but has more grain.
I will take 200.00 for the small block and 400.00 for the one that will make 20 plus ferrules.

PM sent.

This sounds like the real stuff - YMMV

Dale I have some coming so what precautions do you use when cutting the asbestos laced material with lathe tooling ? I was an autotech for 36 years so I have breathed enough of the stuff already and was wandering if a painters mask is enough protection.--Leonard
