Older Brunswick Metro pool table review

Guess that tells me the table I am getting is 2004-2009. Good to know. Thanks again!!
That really means nothing. The age of a pool table isn’t like cars. That’s kinda new actually even for a metro. Idk what year they started building them. I remember seeing them in advertisements in magazines in the late 80’s iirc

I am really disappointed in that cue tho. Why do people lie when you can get your money back ad return the item once you receive it? People sometimes…
Just a FYI: look CLOSELY at pics of cues. Easy to see that it had been fixed and not very well at that. Lot Pred's out there. Nothing rare about them. If you wait you'll find one. Put a 'Wanted' on here. Someone may have one.

Brunswick Centurion here. Happy with the purchase. Looks like the same frame with different feet. If mine is prone to sagging yours is more prone. $1800 is less than I paid for the centurion with 860hr and rails. Plays fine. Make sure you have a good installer. After playing a while I’m not sure they stretched Simonis properly. Seems to be wearing a bit faster than normal. And maybe playing a tad slow.

Thanks for the heads up. I think my FOMO got me and I just sent the offer. Then realized after that it wasn't quite right. I tried putting a wanted on here and so far all I have gotten was a few scammers. Hopefully it will hit. Like you said tho, it was a production cue. There has to be a few out there still in decent condition.

Great info. Thanks!!! I was referred to the installer, so I am hoping he is good. I have been reading that the installer is more important than I first thought. When I had moved my tables in the past I did it myself and now I am thinking that may not have been smart. Lol

The Brunswick Metropolitan style billiard table was manufactured from 1938-1940.

That’s not the metro I was referring to. I thought for sure they were older.

I remember the slogan “there’s a lot of good crown in the metro”. Just feels like it was farther in the past.

Now I’ll be up all night sorting this out lol😵‍💫😵‍💫

Weren't Brunswick Metros the table for the world 9 ball in manila in the early 2000s?

Also, Bill Maroupulos(sp?) has a Metro installed at his place that John Schdmit and Corey Duele played a lot of straight pool on. heres the video of john commentating a 366 ball run on this table -->

The Metro is a good table. True, it's not a Gold Crown, but it still plays better than a lot of other tables currently on the market. I see them all over in the Philippines. You can buy one there for not much more than $1,000. They come in straight from China. I may put one in our house over there. I've played on many of them and have no complaints.

P.S. They bank like a GC and not a Diamond if that means anything to anyone.

P.S. I kind of like the simple clean lines of this table and the wide rails as well. JMHO as always.
