Older Brunswick one pc cues

Cuetips

I've got a guy that has a couple of old one piece Brunswick cues. Pics he sent me shows one with the decal as a Brunswic Regent and the other one has a decal as well and sez it's a Brunswick Balke Collander. Neither has any veneers in the points. Curious what kind of $ I should be offering, and if there is anything I should be looking for to make sure they are suitable candidates for conversion . I'm also gonna get a bunch of old clay balls and a set of billiard balls from the 30's as well

Any comments would be appreciated

depends on what your plans for the are. personally i would offer much. they are prob worth more untouched. with the blanks you can buy today i dont think there are anythinf special conversion wise. historically i dont know. im not the resident expert in brunswick with no veneers. i can tell you i coverted a few old tru balances. they were basically throw ins for some titlists i got. nothing special besides the wood being older... hope this helps

Walter,
Gotta be real honest with you here.
When you ask for an opinion as to whether these would be conversion worthy, it's tough to make that determination from just a couple of pics of the decals.

Generally speaking though, look at the overall condition of the wood. If the cues have dents that go below the level of your finished diameter, they may present a problem.
Don't worry so much about the shaft wood as you'll probably be replacing those in favor of new, longer ones to get your length back.
Probably the most important area of focus would be the points themselves. These are old cues. If there is any indication that the glue is/has broken down and the points are separating, I'd leave them be.
If on the other hand, everything looks sound, I'd say go for it.
If these were tastefully done, they could reward you handsomely.

IMHO - thay are worth more as they are than they would be converted.
Of course, you would need to locate the right collector.

Bear in mind - chances are good that those old points will explode
when you attempt to turn them down<been there, done...>
