Nice Titleist Conversion with original finish and wrap, joint converted to 5/16-14, mates perfectly to Schon or Joss shafts. Joint is unique deer horn. Point colors are original, have faded some, have not been enhanced and are fair to good condition, the conversion retained both upper and lower ends of the splice and sharp points. The Titleist butt looks to be circa late '50's to 60's, wrap appears to be period correct and is very good condition but is dingy from handling. The conversion was done by cue maker and craftsman Bobby Callahan of Huntsville Alabama. He was well known in North Alabama and Southern Tennessee for his cues and cue repairs. His signature cue was a ball turned down for a joint and deer horn joints. He worked out of his shop at Steve’s Cue and Grill in Huntsville AL. Bobby passed away at 75 in 2014. He elected to not do a refinish, the wrap appears to be Irish linen from the period, a little dingy from play but in good condition. His conversion included the 5/16-14 pin, his signature deer horn joint, ring and butt work and balancing. The cue plays great just as is, but could be a candidate for refinish/re-wrap if that's your taste. Bobby played this cue for years, I purchased the cue from someone who represented him. The butt is not warped. If there is any roll at all when mated it’s due to the taper and is very minor and in no way affects play. I'll include a joint protector for the butt. This is a shooter's cue and not a wall hanger. Butt rolls straight. Weight is 15.9oz. Length is 29”. Price is $400. I use PayPal for payment. If you elect goods and services, please add 3% to total.
