Older schon Vs the newer Schon

What's the difference between the older schon in the 80's or early 90's Vs the newer Schon ?

The comparison isn't even close. The older Schon cues are absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt a better hitting, playing, feeling cue. I personally have a 92' Schon (Schon 13 on the shaft rings) and there isn't that I have found a newer one that even comes close. All around better cue IMO

I have several Schon's from all era's.I wouldn't say without a doubt one plays better than the other..I do very much enjoy playing with them all when I can.But I really like the old R series.But my everyday player is a custom special ordered SR-7 made by Evan and I sure love how it hits.IMO

Schon or ?

you guys know as well as I do the R-series was when Schon's were the best Production cues in the world and as close to getting a custom cue as you could get...would you rather play with a old Schon or a Adam, Meucci, or others...Schon was the way to go...thanks Bob Runde...Jmho

i played with STL3,STL9,ltd schon,schon sp with radial pin and they all hit good but i can't compare any of it with the r12 i'm using right now.
