I put up Olga Gashkova's video interview today. It will be on the large player for a week on go4pool.net and then in the videos player.

Thanks,
Jim

Before I changed it, I had put the wrong website. Thanks.

I'm curious who she is, never heard of. Sounds like a Russian name. But do I need to be registered as a customer to be able to see the videos? I can't find any on the site.

Olga is a player out of NYC. She plays on the BCAPL team "Kiss of Death" who won the Women's Open Team Division of the 2009 BCAPL National 8 Ball Championship. Great team, sweet ladies and fierce players.

I can't find Olga's interview, or Borana's. Can you post a link? Thanks!

EDIT: Nevermind - found them at www.go4pool.net, along with interviews of Gail Glazebrook, Tony Robles, Ginky, Parica, Jennifer Barretta, Manolo, and lots more. I feel like I hit the jackpot :)

EDIT 2: I don't see Borana's interview. When will that be up?

I made a mistake.

I'm sorry, I'm usually very careful since there are two sites. .com and .net. All the videos and interviews are on .net.

Thanks

The Olga interview is very interesting. I just F'd up and lost it for a while but very interesting. Nothing much about pool, but she has lived an interesting life.

At one point she is talking about an operation she had on her stomach when she was 12. The power went out and no generators in Russia so a nurse held a mirror by the window and reflected the light of the MOON on her so they could finish the operation.

Check it out.

Another interesting interview Jim. thx.

Olga has been through more sh*t than most people ever could imagine and she still manages to have one of the most optimistic demeanors of anyone I've ever met.
She's quite the competitor too.

I'm lucky to call her my dear friend.

Love her

Olga is always fun to be around, she always makes me laugh. She is a very competitive player and always focuses on the positive.
Good luck to her
:)

Nice interview. I've seen Olga around a few rooms in the area, and spoke to her a couple of times. Now that I know her story, I can say that have a bit of respect for her. Being the son of immigrants, I can sympathize with Olga's struggles and drive to overcome obstacles.
