OMDG !!! Semih ran an 18, Blomdahl vs Caudron in a few minutes !

Oh My Dear God !!! I just watched Semih Sayginer ran an 18. It was amazing, In about one hour Blomdahl will play against Caudron, can't wait to see that match, and Zaneti will play against Merckx. For those of you who remember me, I'm the guy that is in Paris right now. But unfortunately for me, playing billiards over here is very expensive, too expensive for me. It's 14 euros an hour, which is like 20 dlls an hour. Way too much for me. And the tables are not even good, that's why I can't play right now. The place where I usually play has 10 soren sogards all in good condition and they have only the super aramith pro cup balls and I only pay 3 dlls an hour. Anyway, I'm having a good time over here in Paris, it's very cold and has been raining a lot but still I'm having a good time. I hope all of you can watch any of the games online because the level of play right now is so high, Semih and Dick Jaspers have been averaging from 2.5 to 3 points per inning. Take care !!!

Wow, wish I could've seen that 18. Was Kozoom filming? I sure hope somoene caught it. 2.5 -3 pts is a high average- I guess that's why those guys are World Champions. (No sense in putting "former" in there- once a World Champion, always a World Champion.)
 
In the Caudron-Blomdahl match Blomdahl tried a shot: first object ball near the corner, hit very full, long cushion first right near the corner, then the short cushion also very near the corner, then the short cushion again just before the second object ball, extreme high ball action. I thought it made (so did blomdahl) but the referee said it didn't make. Did anyone here see the shot and have an opinion?

Earlier, Caudron had a funny ticky (with a kiss, maybe) that the referee looked uncertain about but allowed.

Jaspers/Caudron

The Jaspers/Caudron match is pretty slow. They both seem to be unsettled, and missing some fairly routine points.

Looks like sayginer is getting ready to play Blomdahl........ but I can't get the video!
 
I can't see it either.
Jaspers seems to be cleaning up the tourney. 50-19 against Caudron, too.
 
The tournament is over and the winner is Mr. Blomdahl !!! A few months ago I posted a thread about what player the azb users liked better and why, Blomdahl or Caudron. Personally, I think Caudron is a very complete player, he has a good style. But I prefer Blomdahl, both of them are good, but Blomdahl is my favorite. Going back to the tournament, it's good that eze123 mentioned about the 20 and 22 that Jaspers pulled because even though Blomdahl won the tournament Jaspers made more money because of his high runs. Blomdahl made 28,050 euros and Jaspers made 28,900 euros. Now multiply that times 1.5 and that's how much they made in dollars. Blomdahl made like around 42,075 dlls and Jaspers made around 43,350 dlls.

For carom this is a huge payday. I hope the sponsor is satisfied with the results.

Yes they are satisfied. They are already talking about having the tournament next year. It seems that everything worked well. They were also talking about having the matches on TV. I'm glad I was able to see most of the matches here in Paris.
 
I thought I saw that they planned on airing 6 shows on Eurosport tv. Does anyone know if that means we could watch it on the internet in the US?

Just so you know, Kozoom is planing on making it possible this year to have access to all their library of carom and pool matches. There will be a monthly fee (very low) and this way you'll be able to watch anything you want anytime you want. When they are ready to lauch I'll post an announcement.
