I recently aquired what was left of the omega shop in waukonda illinois and as much as i would like to run this machine i really have no use for it. Its got a 3 phase motor and thompson rails, im pretty sure thompson built the whole machine. Its got a single spindle set up now but you could add another and have a machine that could taper 2 butts or 2 shafts or a butt and a shaft. Its missing the computer/software, a small pulley and a small motor that runs the lead screw. My computer is down right now and im trying to post this with a tablet but i cant upload the pics. If somebody could post them for me or if there is any interest i can email pics and specs in the morning, just shoot me your email. Looking for 2500.00 cash or cash plus a lathe. Thanks, Todd

It took 5 guys to move that monster. It also has micro adjusters on top for the taper bars. It could either be manual or cnc

Im not sure of the weight but if i had to guess, very heavy. The actual machine, the top part does come off of the base with a few bolts. Im guessing most of the weight is from the base. Its made from 1/4 inch tube steel. I was told it was designed for zero vibration. Ill get the actual domensions tomorrow but roughly 5 feet long and somewhere around 2 feet wide

DPK it that way b/c he was scared of the burglars.:D
Zero vibration means cleaner cuts.
The man was a mad cuemaking scientist.

Another quick bump before it goes off to the bay. I had a millright come and take a look at this machine and i was told it is something a little different than what i thought. This is a fully automated machine with relays and switches that needs no computer or software. You just set up all the switches and relays and hit the button and let it go. It does need a small compressor, a pulley and a small motor to run the lead screw. Still looking for cash or cash and a 40" lathe

I still have this machine in the shop and it has to go! If theres any intersest in it I'll loisten to any offers It would make a great designated taper machine or it has a ton of nice parts to make something else. Thanks, Todd
