Here's a really nice Ultimate Omin one-piece conversion with a Southwest Shaft with Micarta Ferrule.
The butt weighs in at 15.4oz with 3/8-11 Pin and matching ring work to the SW Shaft. The butt has solid gaboon ebony in butterfly splice. The SW shaft is a custom shaft that is 29.75" long and has a custom Micarta ferrule with Dennis searing hard tip. Waited well over a year for the shaft and it cost 600.00 alone. Shaft weighs in at about 3.7oz and the tip is 13mm plus, the ferrule does have a minor fracture per pic but doesn't affect the hit. The Omin conversion was completed by Richard Shu (Pin, Ring, and Refinished)....The cue plays solid and anyone looking for a wrapless SW would be in a treat with this cue.
