On fire!

I had to boast, I normally don't, but I just have to this afternoon.

This week my Thursday night pool league was off for our two week break. So we all go up to the pool hall and shoot for free.

Some of the better players were playing 9 ball so I jumped in. (We normally play 8 there.)

I was on fire last night. I even had my first break and run in 9 ball. I mean I have gotten close before, but I finally did it last night in front of like 10 witnesses! LOL

I broke, the five fell and I ran out. I knew if I could get back up the table for the 7 I could finish the rack, and wow!

I even made a 2 rail kick in another game that my friend played safe on.

I hope I do that good at Fast Eddies in June, but my nerves will probably be going 100 miles an hour!

Well I just had to boast cause I was really happy last night, and because I got another first in! :D

Congratulations. I remember my first break and run. It is a really good feeling and since the first time I did it it has become a lot easier.

Nice, finally got your cherry popped!! It gets better from here :D

Congratulations!!

Shark, nothing wrong with sharing some good news mang :D

Congrats on your play, always a good feeling to have a strong night, keep up the good play and remind yourself that this higher level of play is how you should play every time ;)

I've been in a low spot recently, so it's good to have someone share this type of news.....hope it rubs off :D

Congrats mang!!!!

Awesome....these are the moments that turn you into a lifelong pool addict.

Its like the sound of the pocket going WHAP when you fire in a bank, or the feeling you get when you hit a long cut shot and the moment you hit the ball you can see its in. For me, pool has certain emotional triggers to it that when they happen its like my serotonin levels get elevated :-)

Wait til you do it double hill or for the big cheese...that takes it to another level of pool bliss.

Once you break that mental barrier that tells you that you are playing over your head, that running out will become second nature. Congrats. I still remember the first time I made a $100 bucks. I was sworn to pool. Of course I also remember the first time I lost a buck too. It all gets easier.

Congratulations! I had one of those nights Wednesday in league. Lost 5 games in a row playing 8 ball, then switched to 9 ball in a race to 7. I won 7 straight games of 9 ball with one B&R. My opponent missed a couple of shots he should have made and had a couple of bad position rolls. After league was done, I won $20 playing a race to 5 9-ball where I was down 4-1. It definitely gets you pumped up!

I didn't enjoy and give notice to my first break and run. I was already playing serious pool then and didn't matter or cherish that moment. just concerned with stringing some racks and winning. anyway, congratulations and glad to hear that you were able to savor that moment of accomplishment.

Congrats to a moment of accomplishment when all the practicing , reading , observing , and tidbits of advice pays off , wish you many many more good nights of pool.

Thanks

Thanks everyone,

I have been really practicing and trying to get better. I have broke and run and 8 ball several times, but lately I have been trying to make my 9 ball game better before I head off to the Fast Eddie's tournys.

This year has started out well, I played in my first BCA 8 ball tourny, even though I went 2 and out. I am going to play in my first Fast Eddie's tourny in June. So I am excited my games is starting to develop.

I guess it was worth the money I spent to go to Randy G's pool school! LOL:p
