On The Fence - Big Big Scruggs for Sale

Just a bump guys to see where things are with this monster. It is a beautiful cue and i hate giving it up but it just sits in my room not doing anything. It deserves to be in hand at the table.

Value

I would think your cue and the cue on Waldo's sight comparable.
My Razor blade cue was around $3000 if ordered new. It was wee bit bigger than your cue. And had newer construction.
Good luck.

I also had a cue that had a buzz to it, i took it to a cue making friend of mine and it turns out the butt plate was coming unglued. I dont know if this is the problem that you guys are having, but its a suggestion for you to take a look at.

hi

Wonder what the buzz is? I like my cue straight and I have the buzz! What's it take to get the buzz out of it? Thanks
The cue would have to be cut and reset.Just had a cue do this and Don Broos from DB custom cues in Canada did a perfect job.The buzz on my cue was a small weightbolt was added to the forearm when made and Tony Mathews(the cue builder)did not apoxy the bolt in,it was just screwed in.Tony did this alot to create an even balance. After like 14 years it started loosening.I don't know if Tim does this method also, but to get it fixed is a tedious job.If not put back together perfect the butt will have a wobble.I would get it fixed, buzzes can only get worse never better.Goodluck

I spoke to Pete Tascarella who assured me it would be no problem to fix the cue. He said it would cost approximately 400 to fix the cue and even if you paid the 2700 that im asking for plus that 400 it would still be an insane deal especially since Tim is done making cues.

5-veneer Scruggs with OLD TS logo

You still can't have my six veneer Scruggs cue though. Pretty cue.
Nick :)

You can't have my sweeeeet 5-veneer OLD Scruggs with ivory joint 3/8x10 pin that i just got from Greg. ha! ha! ha! Mr. Nicki I'm out of this man's for sale thread now. Sorry for this childish b.s. g.l. with your sale of this extremely nice Scruggs cue.

You are thanking me?

I told him to call you. Black, lime green, white, lime green, white veneers are pretty and all it needs is shafts! Butts with no shafts are not for me.
But I know you like stuff like that!
Happy birthday.
Nick :)

When you already have the shafts it's not a bad idea to pick up a butt to match.
Nick, He never called me about the cue, i saw it in his thread asking to help identify the other cue and called about is it for sale?
Already have two 13.1 m.m.shafts that match the cue perfectly from another Scruggs with 4-shafts with identical matching collars. Thanks for the birthday wish.

Sounds like to me that the problem is moot. Lets get back to selling this nice Scruggs cue. Best of luck.
