The reason people on this forum disagree so much on the man / woman issue is that everyone is not listening. To the people who defend the woman......... Everyone on here knows that any man or woman can beat another in a tournament. They are short races and no one is disputing that anyone can win. So for you to get on this forum and announce " Oh look, a woman just beat a pro in a tournament" is useless.
But, listen up very carefully. Any woman could "career" it and beat tiger woods 18 hole of golf. Does this mean she's as good as tiger? Please!
What we are saying is that anyone can win in a tournament, but, the BEST 500 or so pool players on this planet are ALL male. Don't go by a tournament, play a 7 or 8 ahead 7 days in a row and see what happens. IT WOULD BE 500-0. Yes i'm saying it, pick your best woman and if she played the top men 7 or 8 ahead 7 days in a row she would NEVER win.
That's why a lot of people on here are tired of hearing this issue.
So basically you are saying that women cannot learn? In other words if say Kelly Fisher played Johhny Archer 7 ahead sets for a week then she wouldn't get any better and would NEVER ever have a chance to beat him in any 7 ahead (10, 12, 35, 57 ahead) set ever?
So they basically reach a certain level and then no more improvement right? Never ever? No matter how much they practice, spar with, gamble with, get coached by top male pros they are wasting their time right?
I mean Kelly has run a 7 pack FROM THE BREAK on TV - she has run more racks than that on tight equipment in practice. But you are saying that she would NEVER EVER be able to do that against Archer right? Never Ever?
Ok, I will take that bet. Since it's a NEVER EVER win I will take Kelly at 20:1 odds and let her play Johnny Archer 20 7 ahead sets and I will bet 1K per set if you bet 20K per set. Since YOU say it's NEVER EVER then it's a LOCK to steal my 20K.
Care to bet? I didn't think so, seems like you have a different idea of what NEVER means than I do.
And like Justin, let me take care of your NEXT move. I have plenty of HEART - which is why I will bet against NEVER EVER. Sure Johnny will win the majority of the sets, but I sure hope that Kelly can squeak out at least one so I can break even. God forbid she wins two and you are stuck like chuck.
But see, I think that Kelly gets better IF she plays Johnny that way and she learns to do what Johnny does. Do you think Johhny shoots straighter than Kelly Fisher? No he doesn't - there is not a single shot known to man that Johhny Archer shoots consistently better than Kelly Fisher does. Does Johnny pick better patterns - of course he does, does he play better safeties, you bet he does, does he bank better, probably. Can Kelly learn all that he knows and execute it as well as he does - definitely.
THE only thing that separates the men from the women is numbers. More men playing means more men who excel. That's it. Oh, an idiots who won't give a woman credit for being a GREAT POOL PLAYER regardless of her gender.
