One American in final 16 in Spain

I hope he finishes well!!!

Nick is a good dude and I'm glad to see him progress as a player. He opened is home to me a few times while visiting Phoenix for tournaments.

I saw that he just got done playing in the Texas Open. He won a few matches in the 1p but I don't know how he did in the 9ball.

For those that aren't familiar with him, Nick was interviewed on the Pool Player podcast. After Matchroom announced the ranking points qualifications for the Mosconi Cup team, I heard someone mention that he was going to try to qualify. I think he is trying to play every point earning event.

Here is the interview. It was before the Matchroom announcement.

We definitely need to inject new blood into the US team.
Josh R, Shane W, Justin M, Robert F, Jeremy S, Tony C, and many others I'd like to see get a shot.
Not to mention Oscar is playing better than he has in recent years.

Nick De Leon did a video for inside pool supporting juniors. He is a player that has an interesting viewpoint.
He sounds so different from Tyler, Sky, Billy or most American pool players. He sounds different in an educated and fatherly way.
