One Country vs Continent of 49 Countries

Thank you! You are the judge of me and I am here to put the fruit in your Fruity Pebbles.

You think I'm just going to be silent and passive while you dweebs run all over every newbie who's not a conformist puppet and doesn't agree with everything people spout from their anuses?

This sport has less money in it than it had in the 1960s and doing things your way has been a disaster.

Instead of feeding off and shoulder hopping on every legitimate player who can break the balls why don't you work on your own game and then you'll see what it takes to be great?
You're telling on yourself here Robb. Now, let's talk about your Avatar. Is that a before or after picture?

I've been fortunate to have traveled around Europe, and always try to search out pool halls. In the UK most clubs don't have any 9 footers, and the one I found which did had 2, but a dozen full size snooker tables and about the same of the small english pool tables. I've visited the Netherlands, Austria, Spain, France and Belgium, and found only a handful of tables, mostly 7 footers in bars. Not saying there are clubs around, but they're far fewer than in the US. In terms of the base of people playing, it's hard to argue that the Mosconi Cup is unfairly tilted towards team Europe because of population sizes, numbers of countries etc. Of these 49 or whatever countries, a state like California probably has a higher population than about 40 or more of these, and the smallest are significantly less populus than the smallest state, such as Alaska, Wyoming etc.

You must have got pretty unlucky...I've only ever seen a handful of 7ft American style tables in Europe!!

In the UK at least we (virtually) only have 9 ft American style pool tables (the 7ft ones will always be English style) and on the continent, pool rooms typically have (generally very worn) 9ft American tables (ignoring snooker tables of course).

The odd bar in say Germany and other mainland continental places do sometimes have 7 footers, but in pool halls I'm surprised you couldn't find 8/9ft tables pretty much everywhere!

I am trying to have a conversation about the Mosconi Cup.
Before this I was trying to have a conversation about Ralph Greenleaf.
Before that I was trying to have a conversation about getting pool players better sponsors.

Why do people like you follow me around and harass me? Is it even possible to have a conversation about pool on this website?
Here's an idea - why don't you join-in on the conversation? You have been a rail-bird since World War 1. I'm sure there's something you might be able to add to a conversation about pool.
