One of my biggest mistakes...

Chris. If you didnt have your second wife, you wouldn't have
gotten your third. I used to practise law when i was young.

I tried to be as good a father as possible. I have two daughters and they both went to college and I paid for everything and they finished college debt-free and both had good (not new) automobiles.

They are both teachers and making $34K a year. So if they did have debt, I don’t know how they could have paid it anyway.

I know you make tons more, but the debt sucks. But the government and the universities encourage it.

I took out all my loans for school (about 40k) and make less than they do, but I get on fine. Don't spend a ton of money but I can afford hockey games, pool, and a trip here and there. So an austere lifestyle (no mrs or kids helps too) and income-based repayment allows for a good quality of life, although the debt isn't being paid down. Interest is accruing. I feel that I'll probably make more in the future and I can pay for it then. I'm not going to live like Raskolnikov because I got scammed into a bunch of college debt.

I should have bought Apple stock when it was about 10 bucks.

Very close to mine. Well, at least to the one I'll share here. The other, of course, involves a woman.

About ten years ago I considered dabbling in penny market stocks. I had received a piece of junk mail touting one specifically as the next big thing.

I set up a mock stock portfolio on AOL Finance so I could track "the next big thing," and I did... for months. It varied between $.02 and $.05 or so for quite a while. It became longer and longer in between my checking on it and one day, maybe a year later, it crossed my mind again. I pulled up my AOL Finance profile, and lo and behold, the shit had jumped to almost $160/share and then bottomed out about five months prior.

Now, I don't know if I would have been savvy enough with the timing on that stock to maximize the profit, but I like to think I'd have made a nice chunk of cash. I spent a lot of time just thinking about the numbers involved if only I'd have thrown $1000 at it when it was $.02/share.

If I had, I'd probably trade all that money to have not screwed up with the girl.

Que sera, sera.
