Imo one of the best tips to get is to think 3 balls ahead for players that have no problems making balls and can play fair to good position. I can still remember being told that years ago. After I finally got the hang of it, and it became natural my game took a huge leap up. Johnnyt
 
Great tip! In other words make sure you are not only going for position on the next shot but make sure you are on correct side of 2nd ball to get position on 3rd ball?
 
Yep. What angle do I need on the 2 to get to the 3. The more you stay in line the easier this game is
