For those of you who missed the semis and finals of the Efren Reyes One Pocket Show either at the Derby or on BCn, here are a couple of posts on OnePocket.Org.

The Amazing Draw

Semis

Finals

The draw for the semi-final match was as entertaining as the matches.

Fred <~~~ as if I wasn't already convinced, Efren is a god

Thanks Fred

That 3-ball/7-ball breakout is... I can't find the word. Wow. Just, wow. Props for the post. That shot needs to be added to onepocket.org's list of great shots.

Good synopsis Fred.

Mind blowing performances by Efren. I burst into uncontrollable laughter a number of times, as did Alex in the semifinal. It just doesn't seem feasible. I'm not a one pocket player but I want to be now.

Interesting how Incardona said this is the best anyone's ever played the game, but Efren said in the interview that he played better in the 70's. Hard to believe.

Fred, nice write-up. Watching both matches between Alex and Efren, and then with Efren and Miller, I had the best day at work in years!

Efren dominated Alex, and then went on to completely annihilate Miller. When he shot that left-handed shot in the last game against Miller and then left that 90-degree cut on the 10-ball I thought his run was over. And then when he *made* the 10 by cutting it in and using inside english to reverse the cue off the second rail for shape on the next ball I couldn't stop smiling.

Incardona was right when he said that this will go down in the history books as one of the best ever performances in the history of one pocket. Simple outstanding! Right when you think you've seen it all from Efren, he comes up with even more.

Efren is a pool god. No doubtaboutit.

IIRC, Efren did not learn 1h until after he came to the US (?1985), so he did not play better 1h in the 70s.FWIW JMHO YMMV +OA

In his defense...2nd place ain't too shabby, and...

He figured out how to keep Efren from putting 8's on him, didn't he:( :o
