Is it possible to have a forum dedicated to One Pocket? I believe the game is really gaining in popularity especially in my area. However, I don't see it becoming a vewier sport because of its slow pace. (ESPN will never be interested...lol) I am really beginning to like it and would like to learn as much as I can.

You know about onepocket.org, right?

Of course, and poolstudents.net and Eddie Robin's books which are a little out of my price range at this point at my level of expertise...maybe later, I hope.

Just to be clear, OnePocket.org is free. It isn't even run as a "for profit" -- anything that comes in just goes to promoting the game and the legacy of the game via the One Pocket Hall of Fame. I am the administrator and I just do it because I love the game. In fact, I got lucky and won a football pool for about 4 grand about six months after I started OnePocket.org, and I put all of that money toward establishing the One Pocket Hall of Fame -- which has turned into a pretty nice event that means a lot to the great players that have been honored.

Hey.. what's up with that? I get a exclusive interview with you at the Derby, but I have to read here, about this football bet thing? That was a pretty big omission in my interview. Hmmm... I might have to take some creative license with that video now:D

Steve is a great guy that spends a lot of his time and effort, to make sure that the players, especially the ones from years past, get recognized for their achievements. It's something that very few people think of, when they think of people like Steve Booth. I think very few people really understand how much work and how much time is needed to do what he does, in administering and running a website, putting together a huge event at the Derby, gathering interviews from players, transcribing them, going to pool events and taking the fantastic picture he does, and the countless hours spent researching pool and networking with people. Oh and throw in the fact that he works all day.

The love for pool can make some of us do very strange things, that sometimes can make a person question themselves. :)
