One Pocket Question on Rules

Player A has a ball hanging really deep in his hole. He gets down to bank a ball into the same hole. As he hits the ball, the ball hanging just falls but doesn't get touched by the player or the ball and the ball he banks falls in after. What is the ruling there?

The ruling is the same for all games. Restore the table to the positon before the shot. Player shoots again. If the table cannot be restored, re-rack.

I would think that the shooter would get credit for both ball since the ball fell during the execution of a shot. Meaning that it probably fell because of table movement or vibrations, which in my opinion would be part of the shot.
Had the ball fell before the shot then I believe the repositioning of balls rule would be in effect.

You might think that, but it would not be correct.

From WSR 8.3: If a ball stops near the edge of a pocket, and remains apparently motionless for five seconds, it is not considered pocketed if it later falls into the pocket by itself.

From WSR 1.7: If a settling ball falls into a pocket during or just prior to a shot, and this has an effect on the shot, the referee will restore the position and the shot will be replayed. The shooter is not penalized for shooting while a ball is settling.

Same ruling under BCAPL rules.
