^ correct. If a player makes a foul (such as a push, or double hits the que) any balls pocketed in your hole count for you. The only fouls that constitute the ball being spoted is if they get the Q to leave the playing surface (off the table / in the pocket).. Also, if they slam an OB off the table, and the cue stays on the table, the CB stays put and the OB spots and they owe one.
I was told by a few of the best one pocket players in CO that in one pocket if you send an object ball off the table it is not a foul, it is just spotted. Apparently this is the rule for one pocket even though in 9 ball and 8 ball it is BIH.
You need to make this clear at the start. Until about 1980, it was not a foul to send object balls onto the floor at any pool game, as I recall. The other games have changed over, pretty much, but the technique was/is pretty common at one pocket, so some may still use the "traditional" rule.Takumi4G63 said:

This rule is to prevent a sneaky intentional push shot. Without this rule, when the ball in the jaws is the game ball, and there are balls midtable that could easily be made from the kitchen, that would certainly be the shot though. I have had people try it on me more than once.
