It sure is. And I'm expecting two guests to be here that morning. Earl Strickland and Johnny Archer will be holding a Legends of the Game Pool School in our non-smoking room from 9:00 until 12:00 that morning.

They will not be playing in the Tournament
 
As far as I know it is, it's still on. The tourney has been listed on Gate City's website.
 
Don't forget, this is next Saturday October 17th. As long as we get a good turnout, I plan to hold these every 6 weeks or so.

Just in case you are worried about the trip, I will have this tournament no matter how many participants. Plus 1st place will pay at least $300 guaranteed.
 
Still on for this Saturday, and still offering the $300 minimum payout for 1st place. That means if someone drives here from out of town and only 2 people show up, I will still run the tournament and the winner will get $300.

I don't expect this to happen. The last time we had the one pocket tournament, we had 17 players. I am expecting to beat that number this time. And if I do, I will have this tournament at least once every 6 weeks going forward.

For anyone that comes early, both Earl Strickland and Johnny Archer will be here. They are hold a "Pool School" here from 9:00 until 12:00. However, don't come much before 12:00 as that is what time we open to the public.

Why won't they play in the tourney? I think it would make things more interesting....
 
The winners of the tournament were:

1st - Greg Burke
2nd - Jeff Pruitt
3rd/4th - Sam Monday/Carl Soyars

There were a total of 16 players. I was hoping to break 20, but 16 was enough to try again.

Look for the next tournament in about 6 weeks. However, I will probably go back to the previous format. Double elimination with a race to 2 on the winners side and a race to 1 on the losers.
