You may get different opinions on this,,,,,,,my vote would be Winning One Pocket, by Eddie Robbins,,,,,,,then Upscale One Pocket by Jack Koehler.
winning one pocket and book 2...shots moves and strategies...the problem they are out of print. you will probably spend over 300.00 to get both copies.
Pick up Willie Jopling 1P DVD... pure one pocket magic, and really gets into the finer details of one pocket, clearing pockets, double kisses, the kicks, the "tic" shots as Willie calls them, and much more. You will not be dissappointed.

Forget about fiinding "the best book".
Just play the game as much as possible with better players, you will learn...fast!
There is nothing fast about one pocket. Just buy some accu stats match DVDs.
