One Practice Stroke Before Shooting

Dear Mr. shankster8, What is the name of the DVDs that you are watching? Both Scott & I demostrate The Mother Drills on OUR DVDS. Very little time (1%) is spent on Rules. We do not have a set of dvds titled, SPF. I think something is wrong here. What's up?......SPF=randyg

I think Shankster8 should explain here. It seems his description is a misrepresentation of Randy and Scott's DVD's. This potentially could hurt sales as one poster in this thread said he will no longer purchase them.

Randy, or should I refer to you as "Dear Mr. randyG", in equal respect of the way you addressed me? I thought Gerald was you, after he stated his belief that no instructor would ever give out the mother drills - ever! Wow, that sure made them sound important - but then you stated that both you and Scott had demonstrated the mother drills in your dvd's - which directly contradicted my complaint. That makes me look pretty foolish! For what it's worth, I bought your dvd's primarily in anticipation of those drills, and after watching them I complained to Scott about their absence. He apologized and explained that you two weren't responsible for the dvd content, the producer(?) was. If the mother drills were presented, I don't understand why Scott and I had that conversation.

You also state that about 1% of the dvd content was devoted to rules discussion. This also makes me look pretty foolish.

In truth, you impress me as a pretty sharp guy - so I am genuinely confused by all this. So, I just dug out your dvd's, and will replay them. One of us has his head where the sun don't shine. If it is me, you have my apologies in advance and I will affirm those apologies, before the forum, when I determine I am the mistaken party. I'll be on the go from early till late tomorrow, so probably won't report back till Tuesday. Good eve!

"PLAY BETTER POOL" vol. 1. Every thing we demo are the Mother Drills. I have had nothing but positive feedback on this set of 2 dvds. Thanks for the quick reply....SPF=randyg

I'm going to take some credit here. Unknowpro first brought the 1 practice stroke and shoot practicing method to my attention and I tried it. Once I tried it and loved what it was doing for me I then posted over and over about the virtures of one stroke practice shooting. It has taught me how to aim while up and aiming while up is the way to play.

Thanks! rep to you then!!!!! I will be advocating the method now too from now on! I now aim while I am up. I'm pretty sure I always have before it's just now, I put more focus on it instead of adjusting my aim when I'm down.

I now do it during practice and now if it's a simple stop shot or a just need to stun it a bit, I use the one stroke. Other finesse shots I still need practice strokes.
