this entire butt was made from the same piece of zebra wood, just cut at different angles. then reglued and doweled. it just has a coat of sealer.

the wood

i got my hands on a piece of zebra wood that was 2 inches by 12 inches by 3 feet. part of the wood was cut standard with the grain and part crosscut against the grain. the crosscut was why i had to dowel the cue.
 
That looks really cool. Keep up the good work!
You have me thinking about how cool a piece of Palm wood would look done like that. It would have dots all over the crosscut piece.

This cue is Beautiful, Solid hitting, and simply the best cue that I ever hit. It so solid when you hit a ball that you don't realize that it's a 2 piece cue. You would swear that it is just a one piece.When you start taking elements out and just making it wood to wood to wood, I don't think that a cue maker could do any better.
