Ya know, I juz gotta chime in here. I full agree with Jazz. Countless times there will be a cue on the Bay, that is essentially "under the radar" with an excellent opportunity to pick it up for waaaay under value.
THEN, PoolSleuth or some other AZer,
with absolutely no interest in the cue, will Post it here and create all kinds of interest. The Poster doesn't care, because, again, they have no interest in it.
Waddya think? You're "helping those who don't know how to surf Ebay"?? If they can read AZ Posts all on their own, they can read Ebay listings.
If it's your cue, fine. Or your best friends. Or you have some other
legitimate reason why you should be pointing it out - fine. Like alerting teh AZ Community that a cue is a scam.
And YES, it happened to me once (one of my listings) and I went ballistic. I didn't want the AZ community to buy the cue. At that time I made my feelings very clear, that no one here should be putting links to Ebay for cues that they have no involvement with.
This isn't about a 2-minute "Snipe bid", it's about advertising cues that you have no affiliation with.
PLEASE! I'm not trying to start a war here, just pointing out why bringing attention to a "great value" is a
self-defeating endeavour. See, by telling thousands of people what a great lil' bargain you came across, it will no longer be a great bargain.

GEEE WHIZ it is too bad you could not pull of that "STEAL", but you got an Hour to bid for it.
How many times have I bid on something on e-bay, and lost it in the last TWO MINUTES. It was a BUMMER, but I got over it...
