Only 2 players paid 2000 $ to play the Qualifier in Australia...

But the worrying thing is, are they making excuses to bring in funds from the qualifiers to clear the cheques?
I always thought it was strange that the end of year qualifiers started so early. Its a calssic case of hand to mouth, the 100k is a carrot that KT hoped he'd never have to pay as it thought he fund it via the qualifiers.
The question is what happens if the number of qualifiers in the next 2-3 weeks are extreemly low?![]()
I heard that The Denver qualifier also ony had 2 entrants.Roy Steffensen said:Only 2 players paid 2000 $ to play the Qualifier in Australia...
Keith Buck said:How much later did you want them to start the qualifiers?
As it is they end on Nov 24th, the weekend before the Masters and then there is only a week after the Masters before the Qualifying Tournament starts.
Did you want them to hold all 100 tournaments in November? lol
TheOne said:Call me nuts kieth, but couldn't have held 1 qualifier, or even 10 qualifiers?
Keith Buck said:If he did that you probably would have accused him of lying again because he said there would be 100 qualifiers where the winner and runner-up advance.
Congratulations on your Eurotour results so far, I'll be pulling for you in your match against Ralf.

I don't think u need the Diamond table.Roy Steffensen said:Only need to have the equipment needed.
sniper said:Another question to consider is what happens when nobody shows up to a qualifier whatsoever? Maybe then the writing will be on the wall for the IPT that $2000 is simply to much for a player to pay just for a chance to qualify to another qualifier.

2 Grand is a lot of money. And flying to the states is a long and expensive way from Australia. So anyone who got through would have to cough up a lot of money for a crack at phantom money.
Also there aren't any IPT type tables to practice on in Australia. NSW has some 9 Ball tables but other states it's all UK 8Ball style.
Craig Fales said:I'm curious...what's the difference between tables in Australia and USA??
