DIAMONDS OPEN ONE POCKET TOURNAMENT
OCT.9TH THRU OCT.12TH.
Diamonds will add $7,000 to purse

I would like to invite all one pocket players to Dallas to play in an open one pocket event.I have designed this format to induce players and backers. I know personally of at least four big money backers that will be there,guaranteed. I will explain the format.

ENTRY FEE---$1,000
SINGLE ELIMINATION
3 POSSIBLE BUY BACKS
FIRST TWO ROUNDS RACE TO 3
EVERY OTHER ROUND RACE TO 4
FINALS RACE TO 5

After 1st round is complete,any losing player can buy back in for $500.
After 2nd. round is complete any losing player can buy back in for $1,000
After 3rd. round is complete any losing player can buy back in for $1,500

PRIZE MONEY BREAKDOWN
1ST PLACE 28% OF TOTAL PURSE
2ND PLACE 18%
3RD & 4TH PLACE 12% EA.
5TH.. THRU 8TH. 71/2% EA.
 
Good luck with your event Billy. That sounds like it will be a great time. It's great to see a new format. I think the higher entries are the way to go, you will draw smaller fields but probably pay out more money.

This may seem like a stupid question and you can call me a moron if you want to, I could care less...

I assume in order to buy in the 3rd round, you also have to buy into the 2nd round. If you lose in the 1st round you just cant skip the second round right?

Are you going to make it to the Open in Roundrock this weekend?

Hopefully, I'll make it to Dallas soon and see the new room. Heard great things about it. I hear those tables are fast and tight.
