Opinions on Pro Form cloth??

Do you have any experience installing Pro Form worsted cloth? I will be installing some on an 8' table but I have never used it before. Is the stretch more comparable to Simonis or Velocity Pro? Thanks in advance

I've used the proform a couple times. Honestly i didn't like it very much. If i recall it seamed thicker with less stretch potential than simonis. Talk about knuckleburn. Which makes it a bit trickier to get the rails looking pretty.

I'm installing it on my table right now. Ive done 3 rails and it seems to stretch a bit hard, although I don't have any experience with worsted cloth. My only real concern is that I got it pre-cut and there is barely enough material to wrap around, stretch and staple the rails. I find myself stapling right next to my fingers and after doing 3 rails they were very sore from not having much material to pull hard with.

Plays fine.
If you can install 760 or Elite Pro you can install ProForm.

I'm sure it plays fine for being half the cost of simonis and barely more expensive than titan.
Thanks for the confidence boost.

The upside is you get a nice worsted for a few bucks more that Championships' overpriced Titan.

The pro form cloth can allmost stand up by its self like a tatter sac material' And becomes stiffer like championships 3030 burlap'

Burlap? Now that would be Centennial.
There may be a bit of similarity with true 3030 considering PF came from the same mill.

That cloth looks pretty good. And is half the price of 860. Not sure if it will hold up as well and play as well but I have a piece coming for a room to try

Really not many rooms need Simonis as there aren't that many players who even know the dif.

Got just over 850 + games on mine right now and have to say, I have no complaints from myself or anyone who has played on my table. Still looking good too!

Well, here's my opinion (at least from a mechanic's point of view). This cloth is a lot more elastic than Simonis. It wasn't too bad to install on the rails, although I would prefer to install Simonis. You can really strech this stuff when you're installing the feather strip. As for the bed cloth, I had no problem getting 4" of stretch side to side using the glue method for an 8' table. You can tell its a few steps behind Simonis but for the price its not a bad alternative.

I just got some and will do a test in a poolroom vs Simonis and Basalt. Can't wait. I hope it lasts but like my friend Al Conte said. " time will tell".
