Orange Crusher--get it soon

Look more closely--you'll see that side of the tip is finished to blend in with the ferrule, but it is in fact a separate tip. Here's Mike G's thread where he states that the tip is a Samsara.
Damn. You're right. I cleaned all the chalk off and looked at it through a loupe, and it is leather. I didn't pay a lot of attention when the cue came in. It just looked like a one-piece phenolic tip - and it hits as hard as one. I will say that I'm glad to find this out, as I didn't want another break cue with phenolic. Thanks for pointing that out, and I apologize for my error.

I've had to go back to a heavy break cue because of shoulder problems. Short-stroking the break just doesn't work with a light cue. Mike fixed me up with a 22-ounce OC that really gets the job done.

How could there be a down side for Mike?

aside from being a a sarcastic comment...id assume one could stipulate amount of sales generated with discount added. multiply each member purchase times 100, and thats how much mike would have made additionally....sorry if it came across any other way...

You're welcome. My thanks go to Mike for offering this terrific deal.

received mine today! (ordered 3-15)
i tested it out, broke 2 in on break with great cue ball and follow up ball position. sadly i didn't have my player with me, so i just ran the rest of the rack using the OC lol. surprised i had so much cue ball control with a break cue.

cliff notes: i'm happy thanks again and congrats to all those who ordered!

Ordered Mine 3-17-2011

I just ordered mine. Mike answered and was great to deal with. He is getting ready for the Earl and shane match.... Now all I need is a break :)

You get what you pay for.

I took advantage of the $125 price point on the Orange Crusher Break Cue.
And as I said above, you get what you pay for.

Is it a good deal for $125 (most likely yes) though you shouldn't buy it and expect the same level of quality as higher priced cues. The joint is just two pieces of wood that have been painted to resemble a joint. The color is very noticeable :)

I ordered mine in 18oz and it's fine but it didn't do anything special that another cue would do.

I've played with it for about a week and while it does it's job just fine I can't say it's any better than my Mace Jump/Break cue nor my Ray Schuler with the Super constant shaft and phenolic tip/ferrule when it comes to breaking the rack.

I believe the biggest impact on ones break is going to be their mechanics and timing.

To sum up my opinion on this cue.

At $125 it has some value but I would have been disappointed if I had paid over $200 for it.
