ORCOLLO v BIADO (Race to 100/ 10 Ball) $40K at stake (15-17March2019)

At this stage, Biado can only try not to lose badly I.e lose by less than 10 games . So that he wins 2 days/2 sets out of 3 even though he lost whole match

Dennis labors a long time before playing a safe on the four. Carlo kicks out of it though. Dennis makes a mental blunder and fouls on an easy kick shot. HMMM
Carlo steals a game, 97-88

97-88
120 metres sprint except Dennis is standing 30 metres from finish line and Biado is right at starting line :D

Dennis misses a relatively easy 3-4 combination and Carlo runs out. 98-89.
Dennis is not finding it easy to close this one out.

Another break and run by Carlo, 98-91. The closest Carlo has been all day. This is starting to get interesting.

Another big break by Carlo, with a ball down and a shot on the one. Carlo gets funny on the two. Taking a long time now studying the shot. Dennis wins a safety battle and the game. He's on the hill, 99-91.
That game was huge. Carlo had some momentum built up.

Carlo plays a good safety and Dennis fails to hit the ball. Carlo runs out, 99-92. This guy won't go away!

Carlo is breaking really good! Carlo had to play very tight position on the eight and fell short. Now what? Carlo makes an amazing billiard on the ten. This one will be shown over and over again, it's that good! 99-94 and he's putting some real heat on Dennis now.

Open break for Dennis. Can he do it now? Dennis did what he does best, make a good run out under pressure. It's over, 100-94!
A great match by both players.

Thanks for the play by play updates jay.

Sounds like both played their hearts out.

Now time to play some Europeans.

Big props to Darwin and the guys who put this match together and to Ted Lerner and Mika Immonen for such a great job of commentary. This was like a TAR match, with three very long days of pool.

Congrats to Dennis, still the money game king of the Philippines!

I can see why most players prefer the “race to X, best 2 out of 3” format. Day 1 put Biado in too big of a hole, but he ended up taking 2 of the 3 sets in a race to 30 I believe.
