It may be that he has a 314 shaft without the cat logo.

I know the early 314's did have some variation in the laminated pie numbers so maybe that's what pt is referring to. I have no idea what those numbers mean, is more better?

As for value, if it's a common pin size like 5/16 14 or 3/8 10 it would be worth approx. $200 in truly mint condition.

there are some diehard "pre-cat" guys out there who are willing to pay for these.

If you decided to sell here, it would be helpful if you had someone who could vouch for you who is a known az member since you are new.
