On the one hand, KBP states that a_susie_cue is going by what she "heard" and doesn't know the whole story.. In the very next post, KBP is responding to OnePocketChump about what KBP "heard."

What's going on here? I had thought y'all were working on the same team. KBP, are you the lady who runs an amateur Fury-sponsored tour down south?

There are three kinds of folks in this pool world: those who make it happen, those who watch what happen, and those who wondered what happened. For the betterment of the sport, we need folks who make it happen, and the Romanos make it happen for folks like me and mine. In case anyone hasn't said it, THANK YOU, EYDIE AND BOB!

JMHO, FWIW!

Despite the lack of customer-friendly service at Disney, Eydie and Bob held a great event. It was a pleasure working with them! They have the initiative and drive to promote the sport they love!

As for Disney, I will never vacation there after the way I saw how Eydie and Bob were treated, as well as others at the tournament.

I did not attend, but I can see that Eydie and Bob did a fine job promoting our sport.

As far as a vacation theme park, I love SEAWORLD! Much more to see and much more educational...not to mention the stuff animals are cheaper and cuter. Only so many ways to dress a mouse ya know ;)

Up here in the Midwest we have heard nothing but good news about the Orlando event. I was privy to some of the bakground stuff prior to the event and all I can say is that from what I saw it must of been a very well organized and professional event.

Thanks for promoting the sport to the Romanos and their staff.

So, feel free to continue to be ripped off by Disney. My kids are going to learn to have fun without being sucked into Disney's world of "legal" thievery.

John

Hey John Steddy's G/F here....

I laughed so hard when I read this John, my brother John said the same thing to me about his kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe it has something to do with the name John.

LMAO

On another note it is a shame when other in the industry are vengful. The only people getting hurt by these types of acts are the players and the room owners as we both know this, it is too bad that others just cant simply figure it out.

Kay,
You can bring a tournament to the players, but you can't force the players to come to the tournament! I guess people from the Fury tournament ought to know that since their last event at Cue N You was cancelled due to only one player showing up. in fact, that player told me about that personally. It is a shame when you work so hard on something and the players don't appreciate it.

For your information. Neither me nor my current Tournament Director knew the event had been cancelled till the day of the event. We had spoken to them about a month prior to the event and all was fine and then we were told the day of the event that it was cancelled. So it seems that someone is trying to destroy the tour in that area. The TD called to get directions when he arrived in town and that is when he found out. We do appologize for that but it seems to be out of our control when someone calls and pretends they are either me or work for me so we are taking measures against that happening again. It's like you said you are going by what you heard and that's not the whole story.

This is not the forum for this to be discussed. To be honest with you I am tired of hearing you spew lies about your failing tour that I no longer attend and run for you and so is everyone else, that is evident in this thread. I no longer attend as well as 90% of the players due to your tactics as a business owner. You have a repetitious pattern of saying the same thing over and over when something is negative about you and your company. It's funny I always called the room owners a week before and always stayed on top of things for you until you burned me and the players. Then for you to come in here and bash/bad mouth an event you did not even attend is unprofessional. I think you should spend more time on your company and your ethics and less time in here. You can run but you cannot hide. And you didn’t attend because of your husband’s birthday you didn’t attend because you were told not to be there, PERIOD! And that is because of how unprofessional you are. Must suck to have an event in your own backyard and be treated like the child you are and be told you cant go!!!!!

For all who read this……no room owners have contacted me and I have not contacted them. I do not go out and target these events that were established by me for the KBP Fury Amateur 9 Ball Tour and tell people they are cancelled. This tour is old news as anyone can see. When you have had fields of 25- 45 and then see numbers drop to 6, 9 and 12 it should tell you that the reason they have failed is because I no longer run those events. I mean lets be for real……if you call the rooms on the schedules these MEN do not lie and will tell you they have not spoken to me in weeks/months.

You really need some help Kay….

We are on the same team. Kay has no "free pass" with me in any discussion. If I agree with her then I say so. I don't I say so. She does the same with me.

In this situation Kay is right to say that she has never had any problem with Disney but wrong to suggest that we didn't or shouldn't have because we either are ignorant of theme park business practices or just plain whiners.

I expect a certain level of service at a place as highly touted as Disney. I have received far better service at other venues. That's the crux of the discussion in my eyes.

As far as whether Disney is a "family" place or not. They have bars and nightclubs and sell alcohol and cigarettes in the gift shop. Selling bottles of liquor for $75 a bottle that are available at a liquor store for $20 is neither family oriented nor service oriented. It is predatory price gouging to trapped convention visitors and tourists.

Kay, in case you missed it, Disney markets itself as a "party" place. But aside from that they ought either have bars and amenities available for adults or not at all rather than half-ass.

Lets talk honest here. Why are you still using the same old logo that you use to use. You are no longer with the tour so why don't you give it up. BTW the numbers dropped while you were running it not afterward. I have the figures for that.

John is right about we can discuss things whether we agree or disagree. We both know and understand that everyone has their own opinions. We can't all agree. We are on the same team but it doesn't mean we can't have different viewpoints.
As for the party place theme that Disney advertises. I feel that it is more of a family party than anything else. At least that is what I always took it as. They do sell alcohol and have bars but so do a lot of other places. They seem to understand after Disney and the kids are tired out the adults may need something. :D They do close it early but that is just the way they run things. I feel it may be because of the family oriented idea. I guess I am just use to it and I've always had a good time.
