Oshkosh, WI The Varsity Club, April 23rd!

you pissed and moaned because u played bad, i pissed and moaned because i played bad. as for the 50 a game.... please.. you won 2 games. with the spot u wanted you were supposed to win. no harm done. I felt like gambling,payed u off with no issues rite? maybe u can get that spot elsewhere? gl. anyways i'll make this offer to u. your choice of game and bet, mum pool, let me know when, i'll let you know where
 
well put. Agreed. Thank you for putting on this event.There's no need to refund my entry. Just understand that when I say a point of pride for me is my integrity. I mean it. I don't need to shark or cheat anybody to win at anything. That wasn't my intent. If someone accuses me of doing so, I won't stand for it. There are certainly a lot of positives that should be taken from the tournament. Sorry to focus on the negatives but I wasn't given the opportunity to explain myself in on Saturday and this site provides me with the means to do so. I should have done so differently. more often than not, I choose my words carefully. Perhaps in this instance, I should have been more cautious. My apologies.

This thread shows some of the negative aspects of the sport. I don't want the focus to be on that. Besides one incident, the tournament was a success. A very strong field filled with up and coming players and many players from years past. I looked around the pool hall on Saturday and I saw so many people that I considered my friends. I really enjoyed the day.

Joe - I don't believe we will ever be friends but we can stop bashing each other. I will do so on my end. When I see you next time I will refund you your money for the tourney. I may sometime take you up on matching up. I gotta get some practice in first. For me it wouldn't be a personal thing, just action.

Once again thanks for the support from my friends.

Keep up the great work up there Jeremy and remember your never going to make everyone happy!! We need a place like yours in Madison. Also....I bet if this guy would have finished 4-5 spots higher this thread would be about how nice the Varsity Club is and thanks for running a great tournament....yada yada yada.

Tom, why are you trying to stir the pot? We've both apologized for what was said, accepted it for what it was and are trying to move on from the situation. Please let it be.
Btw, we know eachother and I don't believe we've ever had any issues with eachother. Let's try to keep it that way.

Gcisme and I are throwing friendly jabs at eachother now and that's about the only purpose this thread is serving now. Let's try to keep it friendly. Shall we?
 
Not trying to stir up anything. I just think JW is a stand up guy who is trying to do good things for pool in WI. Also making a point that no one would be happy about playing for 12+hours, finishing 7-8th with little to show for it and taking the long drive home, including myself. But sometimes thats just the way it is.:thumbup:
