Score is now 10-16 in favor of Graeme Dott.

Ronnie had two 60 breaks in the first two frames of the evening session. Can we see another great comeback??

Now it's 11-16 and Dott just missed an easy (for me not) red on situation leading 0-14 in 28th frame...Ronnie plays well and now ahead 24-14 on that frame...and miss...

24-46 on that same frame and Dott rewrite episode million and one on series Jaws with yellow ball...Ronnie on the table and now 39-46

It would be an amazing comeback...but it is a lot to ask from any player (even Ronnie) on the crucible stage.

Ronnie leads now 68-51 and missed blue...and Dott made it...also made pink...left difficult black on situation 68-62...played safety...Ronnie back on table and over cut and left doable shot...Dott made it...DOTT won.

Thanks for the update.

Let's see what we can do with commentating the final. Ronnie gave his cue away to "some" kid in the audience, he didn't even know him. He was very gracious in the interview towards Graham Dott, he also mentioned changing his tip 7 times leading up to the tournament and 8 times during (ed.: that's alot!). He will be ordering his new cue from John Paris shortly.

Ok I'll start...

Ebdon wins the toss, wipes his cue and approaches the table. Walks around the table several times, slaps his chest, counts to 5,678, and writes a small novel then plays safe.

Dott awakes and approaches the table, frowns several times, looks at the score board to work out the score, its frame 1 and 0-0 so he starts his shor routine. This consists of touching toes, alternate direction arm swinging and 5 star jumps per shot. He lines up his shot....<ring ring>, oh no somebody's phone went off so Dott returns to his chair to compose himself, Dott approaches table... Zzzzz

Craig <<---- Will be in the pub all day tomorrow instead of watching the final!

Most agree it would of been a greater final to watch had O'Sullivan of won, but you can't have it good all the time. If only he didn't miss in the last frame, i fancied the comeback. :(

I'll still be watching the final regardless. :D

It is such a heart break to lose in the World Championship final the way Dott did a couple of years ago. I'd like to see him win it.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to be content to read about it :(.

You are so mean...:D

Richard

By the way, I did not know that 5"6 tall Dott has 6"10 Del Hill as his couch. Here is a picture I found on the Internet of the two.

And for those of you watching in black and white the pink ball is next to the green! :D

OK OK So I might watch some of it. Hope Ebdon wins as an Englishman, besides Dott knocked out Ronnie and also Robertson who I hoped would win, Grrr. :(

Did you see when Ronnie was just inches short of millimeter perfect position? ...

For those who don't know what we are talking about, mine and Craig's silly missives are quotes from the legendary snooker commentator Ted Lowe.

btw Craig, did you see Ronnie getting cooked? I assume he lost focus.

His biggest weakness seems to be that he gets a bit sulky when he's struggling to find that super-zone that he's capable of.

Another classic quote attributed to Ted Lowe, commentating on a situation when Fred Davis, rather than stretching for a shot, played it with the other hand:

"Fred Davis, the doyen of snooker, now 67 years of age and too old to get his leg over, prefers to use his left hand."
