Outline the rack?

Have you outlined your rack on your home table?

I've thought about doing this, especially now that I have a delta 13 I'll be using forever. I've heard of people outlining with tailor's chalk (I think), are there any other methods people like?

I use a pencil just in case at some point I want to adjust it or whatever, the pencil is not as permanent as a pen or marker.

IMO it doesn't matter about changing racks so long as the original rack has some amount of girth to it. For example those cheapo plastic racks even have a lip.

Anyway, always use the mark on the table not the rack you are using at the time. The mark is the mark. If some strange rack gets in the way somehow, at that point mark the ball and replace it.

Once the table is marked that is what you go by. Any other way makes little sense if the marked table isn't the guide.

Once you're satisfied with the pencil outline, you can go over it with a Sharpie to make it permanent.
