Outsville Ki-Tech Single Layered Tips

I've got about 40 hours of play on an Outsville Soft. I had about 20% removed when the tip was installed. Unlike other layered soft tips I've used that would have mushroomed some amount by now, the Outsville doesn't look any different than it did when installed. Feels at least as soft as Kamui SS or Ultraskin Soft at least to me.

Time will tell but this looks like a tip where the performance matches the hype and appears as if it should have a much longer life than other layered tips.

I have been stuck in what I will call chalk hell for the last 2 weeks so if anyone has been ignored in PMs I owe you an apology... The PM box was full and I went to copy everything and then delete the really old stuff.. I copied everything to CSV and proceeded to DELETE them all.....

SO if you are reading this and are waiting on a reply please PM me again... I will try and dig thru the PM in CSV form but I really am up to my elbows in chalk....

3 Years ago I started working on a cosmetic grade formula and I had an epiphany a few weeks back and what was a mountain became a small bump in the road but I am still doing small tweaks and looking at packaging and equipment....

Once again I want to thank all of you have have tried the Outsville Ki-Techs and I am flattered that so many of you have swapped from layered tips to ours... I still have the Outsville Break Tip line I am working on and I owe several of you some trial tips.... That list I still have and when I decide on which of our 4 options will be the "solid" I will send them on their way but they are once again on hold as I move things from front burners to back burners as breakthrus happen....

I'm coming up on 10 months with my Outsville Ki-Tech Hard. It's still THE best tip I've ever hit with or heard.

Such a pleasant "plink". I've already converted one other fellow player and a few more are on the border of crossing over to the dark side. Or maybe they'll see the light, I should say. ;)

I upgraded to a tiger shaft and after 1 month grew to hate the tip it came with. I have Ki-Tech on one of my spare shafts and really like it a lot. Best move I have made in a long time was convincing myself it would be ok on my LD shaft. I get so much more english on the CB than any other tip I have ever used. I am sold.

Glad you are finding the Ki-Techs to your liking..Seems we are seeing more and more players switching over and being very happy about it. Hoping to ramp up the revolutions a wee bit more with a new chalk we have been developing... Would say 4-6 weeks before I consider it done but in testing I am impressed but I am biased so I will wait on the verdict from others before I say it's ready for primetime =)

You have not misrepresented the tips at all. I will be inline to try the chalk once it is released.

I'm a chalk collector. Unless pricing is like a Kamui, I'll definitely get 6 for collection and probably another 2 for playing uses.

Btw, is Solid available already?

I have to admit I'm always skeptical about new tips but after trying yours I'm truly amazed, they really play well, great stuff.

Why am I the Colonel? Because I always get the chicken

Had a medium installed today on my Lambros LD shaft. Wow is all I can say. First off; ordered off the website and received the tips a couple days later. Got the sample pack. Decided to go with a medium since I play mainly with kamui brown meds now. I had the installer trim it down a bit and put it on. I then proceeded to play about 5 hours with it. This thing hits amazing. I've been trying different tips trying to find "the one". Found it. Decided to see if I could do full length draws. Cue ball on one side of the table; ob on the other, draw back and see if I could pocket the cue ball. No problem with this. I couldn't come close to doing this with my kamui brown. This tip seems to have a better feel if that is possible and it can do anything you want it to do. Not to mention seems to hold chalk really well. A pleased customer here. Will cut off some my other tips on my spare shafts and put a soft on one and the hard on the other to experiment but at this point can't imagine anything hitting better for me than the med. Great experience all around ! Oh yea; when is the chalk due out? I'm getting in line for that as well !

Love hearing stories like these.... As far as the chalk is concerned the formula may be finalized this week... The artwork should be done next week and it will be 2 weeks on packaging... I am shooting for the chalk to be completed by the BCA Tradeshow....

Right now we are ramping up batch sizes to identify quality control issues that may arise. Even then to promote consistency and quality I don't know if I can do batches larger than 25 cubes at a time as there is a fine balancing act in the recipe for grip on the cueball, tip coverage with minimal mess, and keeping the cube solid.... I don't want to end up with "a" and "b" versions over issues I can identify during the calm before the storm.....

Formula has been getting good reviews...

Working on the logo and packaging....

Whatcha think?

I keep checking the web site for the new chalk. Would love to replace kamui. Your tips have replace their tips on my cue. Looking for the chalk to do the same thing.

Told ya! These are the flat out best tips on the market.

I can't get over how happy I am with em still.

I'm going to order 50+ just to make sure I have enough in case Chris decides to stop making them.

WHICH YOU SHOULDN'T. Never quit making these things.

Mark if you want to try the Hard out tonight @ Valley that's what I play with.

I'm also intending to stock up more on his tips as well as some others here. I believe good tips should always stock up just in case.

Ordered from Chris a few weeks ago. There was some mix up but Chris is more than accommodating.

Still awaiting this great product! So excited I can barely contain myself!

Good lord I am hoping your package is well on it's way... I don't recall a Calvin so I hope the mailing address is not to a Calvin LOL.....

Aside from Fred "Cornerman" I think I have everyone's package shipped up through todays order and Fred's package will go out tomorrow... His is a piece to a cuetec so it's not like it's gonna be a game changer LOL....

Chalk will not be ready by the BCA Tradeshow... Labels are 3-4 weeks from my supplier and my mock-ups won't happen until tomorrow... Will post pics and let people vote on the label color palettes after they are ready....

Break tips are actually getting closer.... I have a leather break tip that will blow past the samsara right now but I really want to be able to lap them which I think is doable...

In addition to the leather we are working on a synthetic as well that will be on par with the sonic. or predator phenolic.... That project will take longer just because of it's nature..

If you are in need of a good break tip that offers better performance than the samsara and good control unlike the g10 or phenolics... Jaden has a Jump/break for sale with his On Target Tip line that currently has me pretty impressed.. He is making them himself and not having them made for him so give him a shout... Yeah I am plugging a competitor but people keep asking for break tips and while I drag my feet I think they should know who to go see for a good one......

Accu-Rack Revisions.... LOL Yeah they look like spiders... I originally let the form follow their function even tho they looked nothing like conventional templates... The geometry and material has proven superior to the other templates and I no longer need them to have the wtf is that quality to them so version 2.0 of the templates will be out in the next month... Same material, same internal geometry just not so spidery looking =) I always thought calling them the Aracknids was pretty funny.....

I posted a thread about golf shirts... $25 each... These are at cost this go around..... Looking into possibly expanding to include a clothing line... I have a good friend who will be relocating to Knoxville who has been in graphics design for 20 years.. In college I would sell t-shirts to pool rooms and he did the art work and I made the deals.. We never had to have real jobs =).. I know Hustlin has a stranglehold and Universal is moving in but I think with good designs there is always room for one more....

My bridgeport mill should be here in the fall and the Breaksmith will come out of R&D at that point... The breakrak has been the standard for years now and I think anyone who values the break shot in 8-ball,9-ball, 10-ball or even 1-pocket will find out that it's not the best solution.....

Couple of other projects on the horizon but I need to source some help...

Outsville will be here awhile... No worries about the tips or anything else going away.. I intend to add more products as we go.... At 45 I am pretty sure I can't make it to world beater anymore but my products sure as hell can be.......

Chris

Overseas shipping tends to be expensive vs the cost of the products we sell... I have been talking to a major supplier in Germany about possibly stocking inventory and I might be able to have JB Cases stock some items in China for that area of distribution so I guess my question to either of you and anyone else who asks... Where over seas????
